When the water level controller suddenly stops working, do this

Yesterday I came back from my native. While everyone was simply resting, my brother’s wife said loudly, “Water is falling from the terrace”, informed everyone.

Without delay, I ran to the terrace to see what was happening and noticed - in our second building, the overhead tank overflowing water.

By default, my Water level control should turn off the auto water level controller unit once the tank is full. Looks like the device failed to do its task.

I called my dad and informed him to turn off the second house water level controller.

My brother and I went to see what went wrong inside the tank. Before going there, I suspected it could have happened due to a calcium deposit on the sensor.

So, I took an emery sheet to clean the sensor to see if it worked.

My brother cleaned the sensors.

I informed Dad to turn on the water level controller, and it started working as usual.

Thankfully, it stopped working when we returned from the native. Otherwise, our sump could have been emptied before someone noticed this incident.

To prevent such incidents, periodically clean the overhead and sump sensors.

This is the water level controller that I personally use and recommend.
